Alabama football announced that future Hall of Fame coach Nick Saban has signed a new contract extension. The extension runs through the team’s 2028 season.
The extension adds three years to his previous contract that ran through 2025. Saban’s new deal will have annual increases in salary that will eventually take the $8.425 million salary for next year to over $10 million over the course of the contract. In addition, Saban will receive a contract completion benefit of $800,00 that are payable at the completion of the 2022-2025 seasons.
After another dominant season in 2020 ending with a National Championship, Saban tallied his 7th National Championship and his third in the past six years. The extent of Alabama football’s dominance year in and year out has yet to be matched by another program. | Alabama Tickets
In the most elite conference in college football, Alabama has a winning record against every current and former SEC school. Since his arrival in Tuscaloosa in 2007, Saban has won six National Championships.
